As a sedation trained dentist or nurse, or a team member involved in the care of the sedated patient (even if not doing the sedation yourselves) you need to have annual Immediate Life Support Training.
According to the IACSD standards, it isn’t necessary to have a Resus Council ILS course, as long as the ILS course covers the syllabus and includes BLS, AED, Airway and Complications of Sedation.
